Concepts of self and personal identity are inextricably linked to a young person’s sense of belonging to their family, school, and community. Having a strong and positive sense of ‘knowing who we are’ is conducive to well being and a protective factor against dangerous interpretations of identity that extremist groups seek to manipulate and exploit.
We deliver creative and engaging workshops to: enable children and young people to explore their sense of identity and belonging; improve critical thinking skills to challenge the myths, misconceptions and stereotypes held by peers about individuals and groups; and provide a counter-narrative argument to those who seek to promote intolerance, prejudice and extremist ideas.
